VHF Radio Licence (SROCP)

A VHF Radio Licence is a legal requirement for any boat that has a VHF radio onboard. iiCAPTAIN’s VHF Marine Radio Course will help you easily obtain your VHF Radio Licence in no time. There is no need to sit in a classroom. Similarly study the OMC VHF Handbook online, or via download, answer the revision questions on the OMC website, and then book a time to visit our Woodman Point location and do the 25-question multiple-choice exam. (Please note we require a minimum of 3 business days notice in order to fulfil your booking request, and dates may be subject to change).

Cost

$249 (includes GST, Practical and Theory assessment, plus Office of Maritime Communication charges) We then lodge your exam results with the OMC in Tasmania, we pay their fee, then the Office of Maritime Communications completes the processing (the OMC have a turnaround of 15 working days to get cards out to successful applicants) and issues your licence.

MF/HF Radio Licence (LROCP)

iiCAPTAIN can help you obtain your Long Range Operator Certificate of Proficiency with our MF/HF Radio Licence Course. As part of this marine radio course you will be required to demonstrate an ability to use both MF/HF and VHF Radios. There is no need to sit in a classroom to study. We will supply you with the OMC Marine Radio licence handbook. With that you can study online, complete practive quizzes, and when ready book in to do the easy multiple-choice exam.
