Ready to take the helm? A Coxswain Ticket is your gateway to operating commercial boats in WA. iiCAPTAIN offers comprehensive Coxswain Courses in Perth and regional areas, covering everything from vessel handling to safety procedures and regulations.
Upon obtaining your Coxswan Ticket (Coxswain Certificate) you will be able to operate any boat up to 12m (slightly under 40ft). This would include most fishing, jet, tour and ferry boats, plus boats used fo rWhale, Dolphin and Turtle research and marine construction.
In Western Australia, there is no one-size-fits-all Coxswain ticket. One of the three types of Coxswain certification will be required, depending on the operational area of the vessel you want to operate.
From smaller vessels operating in protected seas to bigger vessels operating in more difficult circumstances, these grades constitute a tiered structure where each level grants greater responsibilities and operational breadth.
